Things we fail to notice

If we adults could see the world through the eyes of children, we would probably be frequently amazed. Children and young people not only see the world differently - they often see things we fail to notice. The Swiss Pro Juventute Foundation aims to bring the way children and young people view the world into the public arena.

What's Santa Claus doing? (70 + 35 c)

Santa had enough of cold winter temperatures. In his heavy bag of presents, he finds a magic yellow pen which he uses to paint a warming sun in the sky. For a while he basks in the heat of summer, until it dawns on him that he's forgotten something vital.

Leopold the Leopard (70 + 35 c)

Leopold, the young Leopard is wakened by the rising sun. Because everybody's still asleep, he decides to visit the sun and climbs right up to the top of the tree. On the way, he meets lots of friends - but not the sun, which is already too high in the sky.

Honey bear (90 + 45 c)

Otto, Rosa and Tom are three young wild animals who often play quite boisterously. The neighbour gets annoyed at the noise they make and suggests the children should take Bear, the factory owner, as their role model. When the children visit Bear in his factory, they find him asleep in his office where he is dreaming of his childhood and remembering how, as a cub, he used to career through the village on his scooter, shouting at the top of his voice.

Tom the monkey (90 + 45 c)

On the way to the treetop, Leopold meets his friend Tom, a young monkey, and tells him how close the sun had been, right at top of the tree, and that he had even seen the mountains.

Sinds de verschijning van de vorige bundel in de serie verzamelwoede heeft Ruud van Capelleveen honderden artikelen over postzegels, het verzamelen van postzegels en de postzegelhandel geschreven. De beste honderd artikelen uit deze jaren werden opgenomen in zijn nieuwe bundel met 'verzamelwoedes'. Voor 'Verzamelwoede 4' selecteerde Ruud van Capelleveen ook een aantal artikelen over de postzegelhandel die niet eerder werden gepubliceerd. Deze artikelen kunnen beschouwd worden als een aanvulling van zijn succesvolle uitgave 'Postzegels kopen en verkopen'.

Deze bundel bevat honderd columns over postzegels en het verzamelen van filatelistische stukken. Deze columns bestrijken een breed spectrum van de filatelie: naast een groot aantal achtergrondverhalen over basisbegrippen voor postzegelverzamelaars bevat deze bundel ook een aantal stukken waarin Ruud van Capelleveen zijn licht laat schijnen over postzegels, eerstedagenveloppen en allerlei andere onderwerpen die interessant zijn voor de waarachtig geïnteresseerde postzegelverzamelaar.
