Two postage stamps were issued on the theme parks and natural reserves. The first stamp in this series is dedicated to the Haute-Sûre National Park. The second stamp pictures the footbridge in Ardennes-Eifel National Park near Echternach, which connects the two banks of the Sûre.

National Federation of Mutuality (1924-1999)

The industrial revolution provoked the establishment of mutual societies. The first obtained it's legal status in July 1891. The foundation of the National Federation of Mutuality was decided during the general assembly of the societies on 6 July 1924. Today 57 societies are member of this organisation.

Federation of Amateur Photographers

The Luxembourg Federation of Amateur Photographers was founded in 1949 and has currently about 40 clubs whose members participate in competitions on a national and international level. The F.L.P.A. organises an annual national show, a number of competitions and other photographic exhibitions.

Luxembourg Gymnastics Federation

The Union of Luxembourg Gymnastics Societies was founded in Esch-sur-Alzette on 9 July 1899. In 1998 this name was changed into Luxembourg Gymnastics Federation. The Federation has 7000 members.

International year of the Elderly

The stamp issued by the Luxembourg Post shows a pair of spectacles. The United Nations decided in 1992 in resolution 47/5 to consider 1999 as the International year of the Elderly.
