Personalized stamp in Finland 2006

New opportunity in Finland

A new personalized stamp product was released in May 2006 in Finland. An eight-stamp booklet A personalized stamp with a cockade motif became available.

Until now the personalized stamps have been delivered as 20 stamp sheets. As from now, an eight-stamp booklet will also be available. As an additional benefit the customer can have a picture of his or her choice on the margin of the stamp sheet. The picture does not need be the same on all of the stamps. The advertising opportunity is believed to arouse the interest of businesses in the new booklet.

1st class

The personalized stamp sold in the booklet is a 1st class non-denominated self-adhesive stamp. In the booklet the price of the stamp is 1.25 Euro per stamp due to higher production costs. The price of the sheet stamps is 1.20 Euro per stamp. In both stamps the share of the postage is 65 cent.

Stamp design

The frame of the personalized booklet stamp is very simple. Apart from the sober leather patterned stripe on the lower margin, the frame is completely white. The stamp's emblems, name of county and denomination are visibly indicated on the bottom. Graphic designers Susanna Rumpu and Ad Lakaniemi have designed the personalized stamp booklet.
