Miniature stamp sheet

Swiss Post's only miniature stamp sheet for 2002 features the "Arteplage Mobile du Jura". This unusual Expo.02 event platform takes the form of a boat that will crisscross the Jura lakes, carrying visitors to and from the stationary exhibition sites.

Meaning and movement

True to its motto of "Meaning and Movement" this converted barge will cast off in search of the "meaning of the whole", turning up unexpectedly only to move on, just as suddenly, to its next destination. This mobile Arteplage not only docks at the lakeside but also docks into the themes of Expo.02, raising questions about them and creating surprising tie-ins.

Exp.02 stamp

The fifth Exp.02 stamp - a miniature sheet designed by the same artist who created the set released on 12 March - comes as a surprise in itself. Tino Steinemann, with his feeling for Art Mail (see the brief portrait published in Focus) has given this sheet an eye catching impact that matches the purpose of the "Arteplage Mobile du Jura".

Design elements

The letters already used for the set are found as design elements, with the "X" in the middle pointing to the linking role of the mobile Arteplage, while the gently rippling water that forms the background stands for the motto of "Meaning and Movement".

Modern design unit

Together, the miniature sheet and the special stamps constitute a satisfying, modern design unit which will definitely appeal to many stamp collectors.

De beste honderd artikelen uit deze jaren werden opgenomen in zijn nieuwe bundel met 'verzamelwoedes'. Voor 'Verzamelwoede 4' selecteerde Ruud van Capelleveen ook een aantal artikelen over de postzegelhandel die niet eerder werden gepubliceerd. Deze artikelen kunnen beschouwd worden als een aanvulling van zijn succesvolle uitgave 'Postzegels kopen en verkopen'.

Deze bundel bevat honderd columns over postzegels en het verzamelen van filatelistische stukken. Deze columns bestrijken een breed spectrum van de filatelie: naast een groot aantal achtergrondverhalen over basisbegrippen voor postzegelverzamelaars bevat deze bundel ook een aantal stukken waarin Ruud van Capelleveen zijn licht laat schijnen over postzegels, eerstedagenveloppen en allerlei andere onderwerpen die interessant zijn voor de waarachtig geïnteresseerde postzegelverzamelaar.
