Switzerland presented her new definitive stamps which depicts souvenirs. Souvenirs belong to Switzerland like the Matterhorn, alphorn players and Emmental cheese. Virtually no other country offers so many souvenirs. These articles generate a revenue estimated at 125 million Swiss francs a year.Stamps

Cycling
During the last two decades of the 19th century cycling became very popular in Europe. At the same time cycling associations were founded in France, Belgium, USA, England, Italy, Switzerland and Germany. At the first Olympic Games of the modern era, held in Athens in 1896, there were already six different cycling disciplines. Just before the World Championships in Paris, the chairman of five national cycling associations met and founded the International Cycling Union (UCI) on 11 August 1900.During the hundred years of the UCI's existence cycling as a sport has seen some major changes. The union is one of the largest international sports associations in the world.
