Perforation in Netherlands

Introduction of perforation in Netherlands
Imperforated Wilhelmina stamps
On January 20th last we met a gentleman in Twente who asked for twenty stamps of 5 cent. He received imperforated stamps. Apparently he was in a bad mood. He attempted to loose a stamp for a payment receipt and destroyed a few stamps. He looked at me and I told him that this was caused by the strike of the typographical craftsmen.Discovery imperforated Wilhelmina stamps
Spoils of war
After the war unperforated stamps of the Konijnenburg type appeared and were sold to collectors. This article describes how these stamps came into circulation.Spoils of war
Giori printing
Mostly intaglio-printing is used to print in one colour. The enormous force caused by the pressure roller effects the paper: some parts will be expanded while other parts do not.Giori printing
