Aland 3 January 2000
This new miniature sheet does not resemble anything the Aland Post has previously issued. The sheet consists of Aland's first round stamps ever. The four stamps are embossed and show the international peace symbol and the three Aland colors are used as well as white.Aland 3 January 2000

Belgium January 2000
The first stamp of the new millennium is dedicated to the transition from 1999 to 2000. Great Britain 2000

Ten high lights The Netherlands
In October 1999 the Dutch Postal Authorities issued a miniature sheet with ten stamps. Each stamp represented a Dutch historical high light from the 20th century. These high lights were chosen by the public. For the first time in history the stamps were presented to the public in a special television show. Israel honors King Hussein
In June 1951, young Hussein accompanied his grandfather, King Abdulla of Jordan, to prayers at the El-Aksa mosque on the temple Mount in Jerusalem. An assassin killed the king there, because of his efforts to reach peace with Israel. One of the bullets hit Hussein, but was deflected by a medal. Tommi Mäkinen

Norway February 2000
Four new flower postage stamps went on sale on 9 February. The subjects are Oeder's Lousewort (5.4 kr), White Water Lily (8 kr), Globe Flower (14 kr) and Melancholy Thistle (25 kr). On the opening day of the Expo 2000 Norway Post presented two stamps to mark this event. One of Norway's most prominent contemporary artists, Marianne Heske, is the artist of the stamps with the face value 4.20 and 6.30 kr.
