Central Organization of Finnish Trade

On 7 March 2007, postage stamps marking the centenaries of the Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions and the Football Association of Finland were issued, as well as an Easter stamp and stamp depicting a candlestick lily.

Strength on a single stamp

The special stamp issued to commemorate the centenary of the Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions depicts human figures - the membership - in the form of line drawings. "The continuing lines point to unity and strength on a single front," says the stamp's designer Heikki Nuutinen.
The Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions is Finland's largest central organization of labor unions. It includes 21 unions from industry, the public sector, transport and the private service sectors. It represents more than a million Finns.
The centenary stamp for the Central Organization of Finnish Trade Unions is gummed and has a face value of 0.70 Euro.
