Ambassadors for Washington 2006 Stamp Show
Wanted: Volunteers
Be an international ambassador at Washington 2006, the once-a-decade international stamp show, and help welcome the public to the world of stamp collecting. The stamp show committee is especially looking for volunteer ambassadors to work in the youth area, May 27-June 3, 2006. Volunteer for a few hours, several days, or throughout the show.
International stamp show
The international stamp show will be held in the Washington, D.C. Convention Center, 801 Mt. Vernon Place. Participants and visitors can easily access the stamp show via the Washington, D.C. Convention Center Metro stop, Yellow/Green Lines.
Training is available for all volunteers
Training is available for all volunteers, and seasoned youth workers will be there to help volunteers throughout the stamp show. Youth area volunteers will help with activity stations, including story corner, Jeopardy history games, printing and writing stations, scavenger hunts, stamp soaking, Boy Scout and beginner stamp collecting skills tables, and a Hero/History timeline scavenger hunt area.
Enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a willingness to share are all that's required!
