Pro JuventutePro Juventute Foundation
This year, the Pro Juventute Foundation celebrates its 90th anniversary, and as it did in 1972, 1977 and 1982, it is marking such an event with a set of rose stamps.Stamps designed by Anne Marie TrechslinTo emphasise the continuity of this tradition, the stamps were once again designed by graphic artist Anne Marie Trechslin. However, the new set also has a surprise in store – the four stamps actually smell of roses! The Christmas rose, as the Christmas motif, conveys the Festive Season mood with a scent that combines pine needles, cinnamon and cloves. Welfare of childrenNinety years of Pro Juventute also means ninety years of commitment to the welfare of children, young people and their families. Today, Pro Juventute generally aims to champion an environment in which children can play and develop.Roses release fresh rose perfumeWhen rubbed gently, all four roses will release the same fresh rose perfume, while the Christmas rose will exude a seasonal blend of fresh pine needles, cinnamon, candle wax and cloves. The scent in the form of micro pearls is combined with a printing coating and applied to the whole stamp on the offset printing machine. Gently rubbing the stamp's surface crushes these micro pearls, releasing their fragrance. Issue: Switzerland, 19 November 2002 Uw ReactieUse Facebook, Twitter or Google +1 to inform your friends
