International Award for philatelic writing

Gavin Macrae, new managing director of Royal Mail's stamps and collectibles said: "We are delighted to broaden the event further still by announcing the launch of the first ever International Award for philatelic writing. The philatelic community worldwide boasts many established and well respected writers and they provide a vital role in championing the hobby. We hope this award will recognise those international writers who have written a factual and informative article on any British philatelic subject, particularly those providing a perceptive insight into the world of stamps and stamp collecting."
